Divine in 09...

I find it quite hard to believe that 2009 is so quickly coming to a close. I am not sure I am completely prepared for all that 2010 has to offer, so I may be having mini-anxiety attacks about it all on a regular basis. It's one of those, stop, have a coffee/breath of fresh air kind of things. Either way I'll take it all as it comes.

Yesterday, Mister & I headed with some friends of ours to dinner at Sammy's (most convenient & tasty 'western' Asian in Canberra) & to see Paranormal Activity (overrated!!). Being that it was quite warm I wore this (very short) cotton tunic....which may, or may not look like a nightgown. Offensive to some? Meh.

Cedric Revisité

I'm off to see Paranormal Activity tonight & I am petrified already! I used to love horror films when I was a teenager, but now, since I am older I can't seem to stand the suspense of it all!

Some of you may remember that I gushed over Cedric Rivrain's illustrations in a previous post here. I thought I'd revisit the subject and post some of his more recent works, since they are frigging awesome.

I particularly love his use of the coloured paper & the white shading pencil. PLUS, Thibault Rivrain & Bruno Staub look totally delicious.

Christmukkah

Last night Mister & I attended my office Christmas party at the Australian National University. The event was held in the beautiful courtyard of University House, unfortunately as the area was mainly grassed my heels constantly sunk into the ground...now my nude patent heels are stained green!
Tried to keep it fresh & simple as there were clients & children about (49 children to be exact!)
We all headed out for cocktails afterwards and I'm feeling slightly dusty this morning! So to make myself feel better I'm off to drink bellinis by the lake in the sunshine! I heart summer.
Thanks for all the sweet comments! Always appreciated!

Seven things about me...

I've been tagged by fellow Canberra-ite Velveteen Loves & the inspiring Tink in My Closet to fill y'all in on seven things about me. So here goes:
  1. I plan on studying Interior Design next year. I am very passionate about this, so I've have decided to follow my dreams. Go me!

  2. Mister wooed me with his Tuna Salad. Yes, I am THAT easy.

  3. Today I considered purchasing two monkey bookends for $150...tomorrow I'll just go for it! (The monkeys & I belong together)

  4. I have two beautiful cream Burmese 'teenage?' cats.... they started off with the names Hamish & Elroy...but now they are Fatty & Nance. I'm so sorry kitties.

  5. The name of my blog relates to the fact that I am never 100% happy with what I've got, or whats going on. Always chasing something more! (consumer, consumer, consumer)

  6. I have a sick all-consuming addiction to online shopping. It's so disgusting & so satisfying all at once.

  7. I'd do anything to get a good massage, excluding giving a massage back...

In return I'd like to tag the following bloggers, who have inspired me recently:

  1. Daphne of JOLIE-LAIDE (give me all of your pants!)

  2. Nadia from FOXYMAN

  3. Ms Glamourai of THE GLAMOURAI

  4. The Porcelain Blond of PORCELAIN BLOND (for our shared love of rose bubbles, she has great taste!)

  5. The sweet Elaine of CLOTHED MUCH

  6. Kellie from ADA & DARCY

  7. Nathalie of MY FLOOR IS RED (A stunning creature!)

Man Men Style

Last night Mister & I attended our friend's 30th 'Man Men style' Birthday party. The dress code was of course, 1960s cocktail. We tried to stay true to era but may have missed the beat on some elements unintentionally. I had a great time and those who dressed up looked AMAZING!

A million photos to follow...

I often think that it is quite sad that women don't often dress up to this level regularly anymore, I really love the polished looks of the 50s/60s era! Although, I am not sure how I would go with this much teasing my hair every day...painful!

LeSpecs

These LeSpecs may or may not be on their way to my letter box.

Okay...they are.

Can be found at Brands Exclusive.

Sorry for neglecting to post, I've had a lack of interesting things to talk about...

Pretty peonies that Mister had delivered to work yesterday. He is such a sweetheart, he often sends me flowers to work because he knows how much I love it!

Ola!

I wore this out to a new tapas restaurant with some friends of mine. Being that I am a grazer and love strong salty/garlicky flavours, tapas really is a favourite of mine! I'm not one of those people who can be categorised into a sweet or savoury person, I don't discriminate, give me anything & everything!

Excuse the half eaten paella...we clearly couldn't wait.

Pretty sure this will be the last time I wear tights until next season. The weather is consistently warm now & I got quite the sunburn on the weekend while sitting by the lake. I even had to cancel my massage yesterday because I was too sore. Idiot.

BALI

Mister and I just booked a holiday to Bali & I have to admit, I'm pretty FRICKEN EXCITED! My plan of attack pretty much revolves around being horozontal, enjoying cocktails, eating delicious indonesian dishes, swimming in the ocean & visiting the monkey forrest.

Mister has never been to a tropical country.... crazy, no?
